Local Author Book Launch: Paul Vanwyck In-Person
Help us celebrate the launch of local author, Paul Vanwyck's first picture book - What's That in the Water? Join us in Youth Services for a reading and a craft activity inspired by the Owen Sound Serpent. Copies of Paul's book will be available for sale by the author.
Synopsis: Twelve-year-old Julie believes there's a monster in Owen Sound's harbour. As her family is getting ready for the big fishing derby, they keep telling her to forget the silly stories she's heard. They think there's no such thing as the Owen Sound Serpent. But Julie isn't so sure. When they get to the harbour, Julie's mom and little brother see things that make them ask, 'What's that in the water?" What will it take to finally convince Julie's dad that the lake monster is real?
