Sound Ideas Education Series: Harm Reduction: A Critical Component of a Comprehensive Approach to Addressing Substance-related Harms In-Person
This presentation will provide an introduction to understanding substance use and substance use disorder and explore the basics of harm reduction and the evidence supporting this approach. Stories from community members with lived experience of substance use and addiction will be shared.
Participants will leave with knowledge of harm reduction, addiction, and related local services and supports. Participants will be equipped with practical strategies to reduce the risk of harmful substance use and ways to support those in their life who may be experiencing substance use concerns.
